Born in Benghazi to a British army officer and a Greek mother. I trained at the Central School of Art and Design in the 1970's and then worked in Liberty's design studio. I am currently interested in the concept of Automatic Drawing using ideas emanating from the subconscious. I like to spontaneously place lines, patterns and colours together and the interpretation can be limitless. The paintings can be hung at any angle depending on the viewer's own interpretation. I also like to combine straight representational subjects such as the human figure and flowers with abstract patterns to create and original effect. The rhythm of the lines and colours together are what excite me.
