Decoupage and Photography
Brenda Nassarian specialises in decoupage on antique furniture.
Something that was originally a hobby has evolved into a flourishing business called Arundel Eccentrics.
Brenda works on English Victorian chests of drawers and Victorian bamboo.
The latter, mostly go to the U.S. via American antique trade buyers.
The Victorian chests of drawers are creating some interest amongst the interiors magazines in this country and have appeared recently in House and Garden magazine.
As with many things it is the simplest ideas which stir people’s imagination and although Brenda has worked on some intricate pieces it is the less complicated items that appear to catch the eye.
This year, Brenda is combining her photography and decoupage in a project to raise money for Chestnut Tree House, the local hospice for sick children.
The 2010 Arundel Screen is in the style of a Victorian Screen, with images of the town
