After graduating from Camberwell School of Art, Frances Knight won a  Commonwealth and British Council  Scholarship to do  her MFA in India.

Her paintings explore the  effects of light colour  and  structure in the landscape. She often works outside on location,  and  then  returns  to  the studio  to  create larger paintings  form these  studies, exploring  further  the abstract effects of shape,  structure  and  colour harmony.

She is a  member of  the Unity Studios in Chichester and  the Netherlands  Association of Plein Air Painters  and her paintings  are in private  collections in USA , Canada India  and Europe.
