Last year was my first gallery trail and I much look forward to exhibiting again in 2010. I began using watercolours about six years ago whilst living on a Greek Island during the spring, summer and autumn months – a very inspirational and spiritual place with wonderful light.  I searched out old Venetian houses and ruined monasteries, which captivated my imagination, and I later found that pen and ink and washes, and occasionally pastels, worked best for me there. 

My daughter married 2 years ago in the romantic little Italian town of Porto Fino and I found it such an inspiration to paint using stunning terracotta and pastel colours. I now constantly look for subjects to inspire me and often express myself in a slightly make believe and ethereal way and I love escaping into this dream-like world.

I have recently painted a number of friends' beautiful houses and cottages, in watercolour, and have started to paint other subjects to be found in Arundel all of which have given me great pleasure and this is an area of creativity that I wish to develop and would welcome any commissions.
