Maia Ramishvili was born in 1969 in Tbilisi, Georgia.

Her talent for painting was discovered at an early age.  After finishing her secondary education she enrolled to the prestigious Nikoladze School of Art where she studied from 1984 to 1990.

In 1990 Maia was accepted to the Tbilisi State Academy of Fine Arts, Painting Department.  She graduated in 1996 and since persues  a full time professional fine artist carreer.
Maia's artistic style is highly individual.  Her figures are imposing and strong, yet at the same time, elegant and graceful.  Her meticulous attention to detail, her choice of colour palette, the restrained beauty which she imbues into her every work, all give her art a quiet presence, making it appealing and desirable.

Maia's works are kept in private collections in Georgia, Russia, the UK, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Canada, and the USA.
