Rosemary Nott studied at the Brighton College of Art and in the painting school at the Royal Academy Schools in London. She also studied design and its sources with Ilonka Karasz in New York. This led to an interest in the patterns and structures in the natural world around us. Together with a colleague she designed and carried out mural decorations in Challock Church in Kent and on some commissioned stencilled decorations. She worked for several years for Paul Hamlyn as a book illustrator. Meanwhile she has been exploring pattern through different media - silkscreen printing, lino cutting, and at present paper cutting. |
