Paintings - mixed media.
Studied Fashion and Textiles at Nottingham College of Art, followed by Post Graduate Theatre Design. Worked extensively in the Theatre and Film industry.
As a painter has exhibited on the Arundel Gallery Trail, at West Dean College and has had eleven paintings accepted for the Chichester Open. One of which was awarded a Highly Commended.
She has worked in many private and corporate collections in Britian and France.
The paintings to be shown at Arundel this year are based on India. In the last four years I have travelled in various parts of India and have developed a great affection for the country and people. It is exciting, exotic, spiritual and full of life, but most of all I find it joyful and that is what I am painting about. Some work will be representational as that is always my starting point, it then becomes more abstract as I try to do a painting about a place, rather than of a place. I'm always trying to surprise myself. It's usually a good painting if I don't know where it came from!
