Kate Simms is an artist who works in many creative mediums. She often mixes them together depending on the atmosphere or narrative she wishes to communicate, or where her mood takes her. Kate has exhibited nationally, including Pallant House Gallery and her work is collected internationally.
Kate's visual subjects are not confined to any one theme and range widely from Scottish landscapes, seascapes, life drawings, portraits, memories and architectural abstracts. Overall Kate aims to keep her creativity fresh and flexible.
Currently she is researching creative responses to Chichester Cathedral and West Dean archives as well as artist self-portraits.
Kate's love of life drawing has led to tutoring her own life drawing group as well as facilitating workshops and art discussions at Pallant House Gallery. Kate has been an Ambassador for the arts charity, Outside In, for ten years.
