Anita Beresford Richards is a contemporary artist. Born on the Mediterranean coast, with a passion for aesthetically eye catching colours, whilst exploring the relationship between shapes , line , and colour, to capture the viewers imagination. Originally, trained at the Central School of Art and Design, in the early 1970's, and working with gold, silver and precious stones, creating pieces of jewellery influenced by the Art Deco Periods, was followed by a period working in the production of textile design at Liberty's of London studios. Whilst experimenting with different styles of painting, a love of abstract compositions developed, using geometric
simplifications, to form compositions with the use of bright primary colours, creating pieces of work, which have a degree of independence from the visual references of the world.
