Originally from Rustington Oliver trained as an Architectural designer and Artist at the Bartlett School of Architecture and Slade School of Fine Art in London. Discovering the use of digital sculpting software and manipulation Oliver developed an interest in the visual impact of these processes. Using virtual technology to produce sculptural oddities and conceptual visualisations, Oliver’s work is designed to intrigue and arrest the attention of the on looker.
Current work explores the use of digital software, producing physical, vivid and bold prints that draw upon exterior influences including the vivid movement of colour and form in glassblowing and the exploded perspective of micro-organisms. Creating the impression of imposing, didactic fantastical structures.
