Diana Stanley is a figurative painter who studied Fine Art at Northbrook College.  She gained a Masters Degree at Wimbledon School of Art and went on to teach Portrait and Life painting.  Her work tends towards the autobiographical as is evident in the plethora of images of her children, grandchildren and close friends. Although her main artistic obsession lies in portraiture, Diana is often drawn to the landscape.  Her numerous sketchbooks bear witness to this and her on-the-spot drawings are often worked up into larger works in oil.  She has exhibited extensively in Sussex and the south-east.
