Maureen’s work explores various less well known local historical themes and events. Exploring the history of her home city of Chichester, projects have included ‘the Sussex Martyrs’, the Needle-makers and the Great Plague of 1664. Working mostly in smoke fired, hand-built ceramics, the process is an important factor in the making  of her work.
