Working from my home and studio in West Sussex, I have been a painter of landscapes of one kind or another for some 30 years, drawn by the exhilaration of unearthing the unknown.
The work I am making now moves away from the familiar, exploring a drifted world, allowing the sub-conscious to find its own narrative, building an alchemical, layered map of colour.
Working and playing with these harmonics and their nuanced resonances has been a life-long passion, driven by an irrepressible necessity.
With no particular endgame in mind, paintings conclude over aperiod of weeks or months; the journey slowly unfolding to reveal a quiet resolution between inner and outer landscape.
