Hello! Let me introduce Seaweed & Sunshine x Locally collected, pressed seaweed artworks.

 

My hope is that my pieces are organic and have movement, as if they were still floating, and help to draw attention to how beautiful and abundant nature is, right here on the beaches of West Sussex. I am always respectful of Natural Englands Guidelines and collect with permission of local landowners.

 

After thorough washing, I float the seaweed onto Khadi, cotton rag paper. After arranging and then draining, it goes into a press for around three weeks.

 

I do not use any glue or colour the seaweed in anyway. It is all nature’s work, I just love to share it. I have recently also started to using resin as another way to preserve the seaweed, with some beautiful results.
