Desiree gathers her reference material on location through sketching and photography. Many visits to Africa have given her a wonderful collection of images to work with. She says our English wildlife is also a continuous source of inspiration. Much of her spare time is spent sketching at the Arundel Wetland Centre where she has been Artist in Residence and a fundraiser for the trust. Desiree paints in most mediums and styles. She says birds painted on silk in the style of Chinese brush is a firm favourite. She exhibits at Country Shows and Art Fairs - Art society exhibitions and in the Montague Gallery in Worthing. Desiree is an award winning Artist. As well as local awards she has been 5 times selected for the David Shepherd Wildlife Artist of the year and exhibited in London Galleries. Her paintings have been auctioned for the ‘sketch for survival’ campaign raising vital funds for endangered species.
