Donna is a watercolour artist and tutor who paints emotionally powerful portraits of women and expressive wildlife. Her practise focuses on capturing the “story behind the eyes”, often exploring themes of “unashamed attitude, angst, and anger”.
Occasionally she incorporate three-dimensional elements, such as hand-cut paper leaves containing text, to add narrative layers to her portraits.
She was selected to represent England and Wales at this year’s international Fabriano in Acquarello exhibition in Bologna and Fabriano.
Her work is in private collections in the United Kingdom, Italy and the United States..
