Lydia Foster is a contemporary silver jewellery designer/maker. She set up her first studio as part of a co-operative in Worthing in 2007 after graduating from college and since then has developed and evolved her style as a studio jeweller. Her work is inspired by many things, especially pattern and form found in the natural world. She uses silver, gold, precious and semi precious stones in her designs, and these often have an organic element, which leads to an individual and unusual style. Her aim is to make great quality, distinctive jewellery that looks and feels good to wear. As well as designing and making jewellery, Lydia also teaches traditional silversmithing techniques in one day silver workshops from her studio in Emsworth. She is delighted to be showing her latest work at the Arundel Gallery Trail for the 8th year.
