I have drawn and painted since childhood, and studied at West Sussex College of Art and Design (now Northbrook College) and at Leicester Polytechnic in the early 1980's. I sold my first painting at the age of 17, at an exhibition held in Midhurst Library. My first one man show was held at The Little Gallery in Arundel in 1991, with further shows at The Chequers Hotel Pulborough, The Oxmarket Contemporary Gallery Chichester and Littlehampton Museum.
Other venues include, Salisbury Museum, Portsmouth City Museum, The Llewellyn Alexander Gallery, London, Parham House, The Moncrieff Bray Gallery, Petworth, Beyond The Sea, Cornwall, The Gallery on The Street, Puttenham Surrey, The Mowhay Gallery, Cornwall, and Michelham Priory, East Sussex.
Since 2013, I have been a member of "Creative Coverage", a group set up to help and promote artists and crafts people.
The paintings are largely seascapes and landscapes, working mainly in acrylic, and being inspired by the coast and landscapes of West Sussex and Cornwall. The style could be described as impressionistic, but with contemporary feel.
