Nancy Scantlebury-Thompson is Potter in Residence at Amberley Museum in the South Downs. She is a well established Ceramic Artist, studio Potter and Heritage Craftsperson based at her beautiful studio there.

 

With her strong love of colour, She is known for her diverse use of different clays, techniques & experimenting with under-glazes, oxides & glazes. Her work includes animal sculpture, sgraffito, thrown work & highly illustrated platters and tiles.

 

One of Nancy's main focuses is teaching; with a growing reputation for her interesting & calm workshops, she enjoys bringing her love of clay to a wide range of learners from beginners to more advanced, as well as working with a variety of charities from mental health and learning disabilities.
