I enjoy the process of painting and creating something from nothing. I only paint for pleasure and am drawn to painting beautiful objects and lovely places I have been. I enjoy trying to capture the light and the memory of the place. Painting is a hobby and I have no formal training. I have painted for many years and it has always formed a wonderful creative counterpoise to my work which is in scientific research.
