Sussex Scribes is a county wide group which aims to inspire and support people who are interested in calligraphy and lettering, both traditional and modern forms. We are particularly interested in encouraging those new to the craft - the group welcomes everyone, whether they are just starting out, or have been practising for some time. We run a broad range of in-person and online workshops through the year, taught by eminent calligraphers from the UK and further afield. These are suitable for beginners and experienced calligraphers alike. Every other year we organise a group exhibition, which is open to everyone in the group, where people can display and share their work.
